Uganda welcomes youngsters for VCP

The course was run by FIVB Instructor Mr Alemayehu Shoatatek of Ethiopia and was attended by children from all over the country

Nsambya, Uganda, May 10, 2011

A Young Players Volleyball Cooperation Programme was completed in Nsambya, Uganda last Friday with children attending from all over the country.

The course ran for four days and was lead by Ethiopian FIVB Instructor Mr Alemayehu Shoatatek.

The final day saw a number of exhibition matches take place and it is hoped that the event will help boost knowledge of the Youth 1000 project that is being rolled out by the Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) later this year. This new initiative by the UVF is aimed at developing the sport at the grass roots level.
